When hospitality opens its doors to the local community

Accor Local / 2015

Client:

The challenge:

Find new ways to revalue the assets available in hotels and their services.

The impact:

Twelve concrete projects that involve local citizens in the use of hotel space and services.

The process:

The French chain AccorHotels entrusted us with the rethinking of the value of its available assets, an opportunity through which we built AccorLocal. This initiative aims to make the hotel and all its services available to local citizens looking for a gym, meeting spaces, a place to manage delivery services or perform yoga classes, or other activities. An example that shows how, by changing the perspective and recombining assets creatively, new opportunities are born.

AccorLocal was developed by applying the Pentagrowth methodology to rethink some of the AccorHotels' business challenges. At the AccorHotels Spain hotel directors convention, four 45-minute workshops were held during two days. As a result, 12 projects were developed that had the commitment of 42 hotel managers to implement them in the respective spaces.
